CRAB (AND SEAFOOD) ENTHUSIASTS UNITE

AT INAUGURAL SUSQUEHANNA WINE & SEAFOOD FESTIVAL

The two-day festival to take place at the Concord Point Lighthouse Saturday, September 25-Sunday, September 26, 2021

B Scene Events & Promotions, LLC. is excited to announce the Inaugural Susquehanna Wine & Seafood Festival, a family-friendly event showcasing the best of Maryland seafood restaurants and food trucks.  The two-day festival will be held on Saturday, September 25 and Sunday, September 26 2021 at the Concord Point Lighthouse in downtown Havre de Grace. B Scene Events is well-known in the region for their two signature events - the Baltimore Wine Fest and Baltimore Seafood Fest. This will be their first large scale festival in Harford County.

“The City of Havre de Grace is delighted to be the host for the Inaugural Susquehanna Wine & Seafood Fest. We are confident this will become a successful, annual event,” stated Bill Martin, Mayor of Havre de Grace.

The festival will feature 20+ local restaurants and food trucks including Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, Conrad’s Crabs, The Urban Oyster, Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls, Black Eyed Suzie’s, Faidley’s Seafood, Flash Crabcake Co., Greek on the Street, Shell & Barrel, Sobeachy Haitian Cuisine, London Chippy, Cream Cruiser and more!

Each restaurant will serve signature seafood dishes ranging from crab cakes, lobster rolls, grilled oysters, and fish tacos as well as Maryland steamed crabs (of course)! There will also be non-seafood fare available. In addition to delicious culinary offerings, the festival will feature 40+ wines, signature cocktails, and brews. The two-day event will host live music by DJ J. Gray, The Scotch Bonnets, Stryker’s Posse, 8 Ohms Band, Cover Art Band, Soundtown Baltimore and the Kelly Bell Band, cooking demos by local chefs, wine pairings, mixology demonstrations, unique shopping, a VIP tent and a family zone.

“I am excited to add another festival to B Scene’s lineup. I moved to Havre de Grace a few years ago and fell in love with it. I think it will be a great destination for locals and visitors alike,” stated Beth Laverick, owner of b Scene Events & Promotions.

“We have been steaming crabs for the past five Baltimore Seafood Festivals and cannot wait to serve our famous steamed crabs at the Susquehanna Wine & Seafood Fest this fall. Steaming crabs has been a staple of ours for 45+ years,” stated Tony Minadakis, owner of Jimmy’s Famous Seafood.

While many Baltimore Seafood veterans including Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, Faidley’s and Mason’s Lobster will be traveling north for the festival – there will be new local additions including Conrad’s Crabs and Black Eyed Suzies.

“Conrad’s Crabs has always been committed to providing the best quality seafood. We are looking to participating in this awesome new event for Harford County and can’t wait to cook some great seafood,” stated Mandy Vasold owner of Conrad’s Crabs.

Locals and visitors will get a chance to experience some of Maryland’s best seafood in a fun, casual, waterfront setting. A portion of the proceeds will benefit local non-profits, including Friends of the Concord Point Lighthouse.

“The Friends of Concord Point Lighthouse and Keeper’s House Museum are excited about sponsoring the Susquehanna Wine & Seafood Festival this September. We look forward to seeing the smiling faces at Concord Point Park as folks enjoy not only the great view from Concord Point, but also lots of great seafood,” stated Joan Painter, President of the Concord Point Lighthouse.
